Testimonials

Since its launch in 2012, MC3 has made much progress in growing its reach throughout Michigan, as evidenced by the infographic.

But the MC3 team isn’t only focused on our quantitative progress — we want to make sure we’re making a real, qualitative difference with providers and their patients as well.

As we work to continually improve and expand our offerings, we frequently speak directly with providers to ensure our offerings align with the needs of their patients and are always as accessible as possible.

Read what providers have to say about MC3 below.

"MC3 has been absolutely ‘practice-changing’. As we have more and more patients with mental health issues and limited local resources, we are essentially the only option for these kids. Having MC3's support helps us make good treatment decisions and is also ‘on the job training’ which we can apply to future patients."
Pediatrician, Southeast Michigan
"[MC3] has it made it much more timely to manage patients who I would otherwise have to send for referral. I've been able to prescribe medications that I otherwise would not feel comfortable prescribing without guidance."
OB/GYN
"I truly believe this is a valuable service. Access to mental health care is so difficult! As a midwife, my patients often come to me for issues outside of OBGYN related concerns. I am happy they feel comfortable with me for all areas of their healthcare but I have a specific scope of practice. MC3 allows me to help these women at a vulnerable time confidently."
Certified Nurse Midwife, Southeast Michigan
"It is very reassuring to have someone available to consult with. In my area we have no psychiatrists with an interest in perinatal mood disorders. My colleagues and I continue to struggle to find services for our patients, both psychotherapists and psychiatrists. We really appreciate the support we have from MC3."
Nurse Practitioner, Central Michigan
"MC3 has been a lifesaver. I can call and get help with behavioral health issues within a day. MC3 providers have enabled me to better care for patients that would otherwise be somewhat outside of my practice 'comfort zone'. Unfortunately these children have no easy access to pediatric psychiatric services and we primary care providers are 'it' in rural Northern Michigan. I am especially happy with the faxed summary of our discussion that I can refer to in the future if need be."
Pediatrician, Northern Michigan
"Working in a rural area with no pediatric psychiatric help, this program has been a game changer in my ability to care for my ‘whole’ patient. It has helped me in the ‘how’ and ‘why’ of diagnosis and treatment of different mental health problems that I typically would have referred out."
Nurse Practitioner, Northern Michigan
“[MC3] allows me to provide the complete care a primary care doctor strives for, and manage more complex patients, like a pregnant woman with uncontrolled depression.”
OB/GYN, Southeast Michigan
“This is by far the best program available to health care providers with management of more complex patients. I have been able to keep all of my patients out of the ER and partial day programs. This service helps me be more confident in my management of mental health issues in the pediatric population.”
Nurse Practitioner, Southeast Michigan
"MC3 has been the most significant benefit in my career. I am seeing so much mental health that is beyond my scope to manage yet these patients need immediate care. With the incredible, timely, thorough advice from MC3, I am able to take care of my patients. I cannot emphasize how significant this service is for my work and for providing exceptional care to my patients and their families."
