Welcome to MC3 consultation for emergency and crisis settings. Consult requests can be submitted online through our secure form below. Once the information is submitted, one of our consulting psychiatrists will call the provider to complete the consultation. Learn more about MC3 Emergency & Crisis Services Consultation.

A few things to keep in mind:

• MC3 psychiatrists provide educational telephone consultations to ED providers to answer questions related to diagnosis, medication, behavior management and disposition options.
• These telephone “curbside consultations” are based on de-identified patient information and do not create a physician-patient relationship between the psychiatrist and the patient.
• MC3 consultation is available for patients up to age 21.
• MC3 psychiatrists do not prescribe medication, provide direct care, or access any medical records.
• Consult requests can be submitted online anytime, but will be returned during our business hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday. Submissions made after 4 p.m. ET on weekdays, on weekends, or on holidays will be addressed the next business day.
• Consultation requests may only be submitted by staff at participating partner sites, which include Munson ED locations in Gaylord and Cadillac. Beginning April 29, 2025, these consultations will be available at all Munson Healthcare ED Sites and Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
