Youth Suicide Prevention Video Series

A five-part video series featuring clinical experts addressing youth suicide prevention

“Universal screening for youth suicide risk is feasible in healthcare settings, identifies previously unrecognized risk, and has sufficient sensitivity and specificity for the prediction of suicide attempts.” ¹

Screening and assessing suicide risk is a core component of youth suicide prevention. Primary care providers often maintain long-term patient relationships that offer unique opportunities to identify these risks. This series of brief videos provides practical guidance on the process, scripted “patient” appointments with examples of how to have these conversations, and information for emergency department and hospital settings.
