Learning objectives

  • Identify the types of trauma that birthing patients may experience and learn how to assess for a diagnosis of PTSD
  • List common medications used to treat symptoms of PTSD and understand how to prescribe them
  • Discuss the safety data for medications discussed, in both pregnancy and breastfeeding

Target audience

Michigan health care providers, including those working in the following settings: OB/GYN/Perinatal, Family Medicine, and Psychiatry (and other health professionals who would benefit from this education)

This training was initially scheduled for November 19. If you are already registered for the training, you will not need to re-register for the new date. However, we recommend updating the date on your calendar.

If you are unable to attend the training on the new date, a recording of the session will be available on the Recorded Education Modules page of the MC3 website within a week of the training.
